What You Will Do:
- Plan, coordinate and administer the new Resident orientation program. Monitor and evaluate for necessary changes and /or improvements.
- Actively communicate and work with Families and Residents of Independent Living to assist in safe, respectful and appropriate transitions to Assisted Living or Memory Care. Meet with staff and evaluate feedback to ensure safety and appropriate level of care.
- Act as Resident liaison and advocate to the Executive Director.
- Act as Resident/Administrative advocate for development of Residents’ Council for those in the Independent Living Setting. Participate as requested.
- Develops, oversees, markets and coordinates community resident services programs.
- Assesses prospective residents for appropriateness of residency.
- Coordinates new resident orientation processes to ensure a smooth transition and appropriate socialization activities.
- Conducts family conferences to determine the amount of support services required to meet the resident’s needs
- Plan, implement, coordinate, and evaluate the provision of high-quality policies, services and programs needed and/or desired by the residents. Maintain compliance with all applicable rules, regulations, and guidelines.
- Maintain resident satisfaction through ongoing solicitation and measurement of resident feedback, implementation of resident suggestions, interactive problem solving with residents, and an annual program evaluation/quality assurance effort.
- Make reports and recommendations to the Executive Director as necessary or required concerning the operation of the department.
- Develop methods for coordination of the department’s services with other resident services, to ensure the continuity of the residents' total regimen of care. Coordinate with other staff members in scheduling events and use of the community.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Why You Are Qualified:
- Combination of education and/or experience equivalent to graduation from an accredited college or university, with major work in related field.
- At least 3 years of progressively responsible work experience in the senior living industry or related field. On a daily basis, throughout the workday: Must be capable of sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, reaching, turning, bending, stooping, crouching and kneeling, reaching over the head, grasping with both hands, and fine manipulation. Must physically be able to lift up to 15 pounds regularly. Must have knowledge of laws, regulations, and guidelines pertaining to senior living industry and ability to work with the elderly in a courteous and friendly manner, demonstrating patience and compassion.
