Summary
As a EDDA at Highpointe Dental, you will play an essential role in supporting our dental team and enhancing patient experiences. This position is vital to our mission of delivering exceptional dental care while maintaining a smooth and efficient practice.
Responsibilities
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing the necessary instruments and materials.
- Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Take and record vital signs as needed for patient assessments.
- Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to improve efficiency during procedures.
- Manage patient flow and ensure a positive experience for all patients.
- Assist in the operation of dental equipment, including 3D scanners when necessary.
- Provide education to patients regarding oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
- Support the administrative team with scheduling appointments and managing patient files.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an EDDA or similar role in a dental practice.
- Hands-on experience with various dental procedures, such as fillings, crowns, implants, or extractions.
- Familiarity with Dentrix .
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality.
- Ability to take accurate medical records and manage documentation efficiently.
- Experience with four-handed dentistry techniques is highly desirable.
- Basic understanding of vital signs monitoring is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and team members.
- Familiarity with dental office equipment and sterilization protocols.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
