We are seeking an experienced Staff Engineer specializing in maintaining robust and scalable IT infrastructure solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of system principles, cloud computing, and enterprise-level architecture, ensuring alignment with our organization's strategic objectives.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- System Design & Development: Design and implement comprehensive IT architecture models that are scalable, secure, and efficient.
- Project Leadership: Lead technical teams through Agile development practices, contributing hands-on as necessary.
- Integration Management: Ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components to create fully functional systems.
- Technical Documentation: Document design specifications, installation instructions, and other system-related information.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor system operations to detect and resolve potential issues proactively.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Communicate complex technical topics to non-technical stakeholders and provide recommendations for system improvements.
- Research & Evaluation: Evaluate emerging technologies to recommend enhancements that improve system performance and reliability.
- Cost Optimization: Evaluate current configurations and implement cost-efficient improvements to reduce expenses while maintaining performance and reliability.
- Hands-On Technical Support and Administration: Provide direct technical support for IT infrastructure, including:
- Azure Cloud administration/storage management/AVD/Load Balancer/Firewalls
- Server Administration across Windows and Linux environments
- VMware/vSphere virtualization technologies
- DNS/DHCP

Education/Experience Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience: 10 years in System Administration with a focus on architecture and design of large-scale systems.
- Technical Expertise: Proficiency in system design principles, cloud computing, microservices architecture, and container orchestration.
- Programming Skills: Experience with languages such as PowerShell or Automation Scripting.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in system architecture or cloud technologies are advantageous.
