We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Analyst to join our team. This role is critical in managing inventory accuracy, optimizing stock levels, and improving operational efficiency within our medical device supply chain. The ideal candidate will leverage data analysis, reporting tools, and inventory management best practices to support business goals and ensure seamless product availability for customers and field representatives.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Inventory Management & Analysis
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels, usage trends, and demand patterns to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Conduct regular inventory reconciliations, identifying discrepancies and resolving root causes.
- Develop and maintain inventory tracking systems to improve stock visibility and accuracy.
- Collaborate with field teams to ensure efficient utilization of consigned and loaner inventory.
Reporting & Data Analysis
- Generate reports and dashboards on inventory health, turns, aging, and backorder status using Power BI, SQL, and Excel.
- Track and analyze key inventory KPIs, including turnover rate, days on hand (DOH), and excess stock.
- Utilize forecasting tools (e.g., Forecast Pro) to support SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) initiatives.
- Identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory and provide recommendations for disposition.
Process Improvement & Optimization
- Support automation efforts, leveraging Power Query, Power Automate, and ERP tools (SAP, ImplantBase, etc.) to streamline workflows.
- Work with cross-functional teams (Customer Service, Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, and Distribution) to enhance inventory-related processes.
- Support the integration of inventory management processes due to company acquisitions.
Operational Support
- Investigate and resolve back-order issues by identifying root causes and collaborating with key stakeholders.
- Assist in managing inventory for surgical case utilization, ensuring proper field stock allocation.
- Support returns processing (RMA programs) and field inventory recalibration efforts.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to medical device inventory.

Expected Areas of Competence (i.e. knowledge, skills, and abilities) / Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 2-5 years of experience in inventory management, supply chain analytics, or a related role.
- Strong proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, Power Query, advanced formulas), SQL, and Power BI.
- Experience working with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Areas of Competence:
- Experience in medical device, healthcare, or manufacturing industries.
- Knowledge of SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning).
- Familiarity with Power Automate for process automation.
- Understanding of consignment, loaner inventory, and field distribution models.
