Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and experienced System Administrator to enhance our IT Infrastructure team. In this role, you will report to the Director of IT Infrastructure and will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining both on-premises and cloud-based systems. If you possess strong expertise in Azure Cloud, Microsoft 365, Entra, Intune, and databases, and have a solid understanding of system administration best practices, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain Azure Cloud environments for optimal performance and security.
- Oversee on-premises server infrastructure, including physical and virtual server installation and maintenance.
- Administer Microsoft 365 and Office 365 environments, such as email, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive.
- Configure and manage identity and access solutions using Entra (formerly Azure AD).
- Deploy and manage Intune for effective device management and policy enforcement.
- Support tasks related to database administration, including backups and performance optimization.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high reliability.
- Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions to safeguard data.
- Work with the IT team to develop and enforce security policies and procedures.
- Document all system configurations, changes, and processes thoroughly.
- Provide Tier 2 / 3 support for escalated system and application issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7 - 9 years of hands-on experience in system administration.
- Expertise in Azure Cloud and hybrid environments.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Office 365 suite.
- Proficiency in Entra (Azure AD) for identity management.
- Experience with Intune for endpoint management.
- Working knowledge of database administration (e.g., SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for resolving complex system issues.
- Industry certifications like Azure Administrator Associate or MCSA.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Familiarity with ITIL framework and service management principles.
- Knowledge of Linux systems administration.
- Exposure to cloud-based databases and DevOps practices.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
