Job Overview :
The ideal candidate would be a highly motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Associate with 3-8 years prior experience in commercial litigation. He or she will have a strong background in litigation, excellent analytical and writing skills, and a passion for advocating on behalf of clients. As an Associate, you will assist in all aspects of litigation, including case preparation, discovery, drafting, depositions, trial preparation, and client communication. Key Responsibilities :
- Assist in the development and implementation of case strategies from inception to resolution.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, answers, discovery requests, as well as participating in the development of a strategy for written and deposition discovery and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and litigation tactics.
- Represent clients in hearings, depositions, and settlement negotiations.
- Manage discovery, including preparing and responding to document requests, subpoenas, and interrogatories.
- Review and summarize case files, deposition transcripts, and other materials.
- Participate in trial preparation, including witness preparation, exhibits, and case organization.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys to provide strategic guidance to clients.
- Attend court hearings, pretrial conferences, and trials as needed.
- Maintain accurate records and case documentation, ensuring compliance with deadlines and legal procedures.
- Stay updated on legal developments, trends, and case law relevant to the practice areas.
- Federal court experience is a plus.
