We are seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment/Diesel Technician with a strong background in commercial trucks (Class 8 semi-trucks and larger commercial vehicles), cranes, and construction equipment. This role is critical in maintaining our fleet and ensuring operations run at peak performance.

Job Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered heavy equipment, commercial trucks, cranes, winches, loaders, and excavators
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and safety inspections
- Troubleshoot and repair engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, and electrical components
- Use diagnostic tools to assess and resolve mechanical issues efficiently
- Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with FMCSA and safety regulations
- Perform field service repairs when equipment cannot be transported to the shop
- Manage parts inventory and assist with ordering necessary components
- Help develop and implement a preventive maintenance schedule for the fleet
- Ensure proper handling and disposal of fluids and hazardous materials
Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience working on heavy equipment and commercial trucks (Class 8 semi-trucks and larger commercial vehicles)
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems
- CDL Class A license required
- Proficiency in diagnostic tools and reading schematics
- Certifications in Diesel Repair (ASE T1-T8 preferred)
- Heavy Equipment Certifications (NCCER, CAT, Komatsu, etc. – a plus)
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work Saturdays (one weekday off provided in exchange)
- Willingness to travel overnight (1-2 nights per week) as needed
