Grant Tani Barash & Altman LLC is a full-service business management firm. The eight partners and 70 employees deliver comprehensive financial services to writers, directors, producers, actors, executives, and high net worth individuals primarily in the entertainment industry. We are looking for a Tax Director who will grow the current tax department into an outstanding tax department, with the highest of standards and procedures. This position is available due to the retirement of the current Tax Director, who is leaving after more than 20 years.
What You’ll Do:
As a Tax Director at Grant Tani Barah & Altman LLC you will oversee all tax-related functions within our organization. You will help ensure our clients' financial success by providing expert tax guidance and strategies. You will lead a team of tax professionals and work closely with clients to minimize their tax liabilities while remaining compliant with tax regulations.
Develop and implement tax strategies for individuals and businesses, ensuring they align with clients' financial goals and compliance with tax laws
Oversee the current tax department and help expand the department in responsibilities and personnel
Lead a team of tax professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality service delivery
Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations and conduct research to provide the latest information to clients and team members
Review tax projections and quarterly estimates
Review year-end closeout calculations for loan out corporations including
Payroll withholding requirements with the year-end tax projections
Analyze and respond to Federal, State, and local tax notices
Analyze tax issues and make appropriate recommendations
Identify opportunities to improve clients' tax positions, minimize tax liabilities, and maximize deductions and credits
Maintain the compliance and project calendars of tax department
What You’ll Bring:
10 years of experience in tax planning, compliance, and strategy development
CPA certification required and advanced degree preferred
Business Management firm experience highly preferred
Experience in international tax law and multi-state tax issues
Mastery of tax review and accounting review
Prior management experience
Datafaction and DFImaging highly preferred

Salary- $200,000-$300,000 plus discretionary bonus (exact salary amount is dependent on experience)
