What are the responsibilities and job description for the Infant/Toddler Teacher position at Hightown Academy?
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans for preschool students
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children in the classroom
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child
- Create engaging activities to promote learning and curiosity
- Monitor and assess student progress and provide feedback to parents/guardians
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a positive learning environment
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior, and academic performance
Experience:
- Previous experience working with preschool-aged children is required
- Knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and strategies
- Ability to effectively communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress
- Experience in lesson planning and implementing age-appropriate activities
- Strong classroom management skills to create an organized and structured learning environment
- Knowledge of literacy education and math concepts for young children
- Experience working with students who may require early intervention or additional support
