Job Description:
This position involves providing exceptional customer service while working as a Barista at Highwater Management. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of coffee drinks, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and collaborating with colleagues to ensure seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ringing in sales and assisting with guest orders from start to completion
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the counter area and ensuring a positive dining experience for customers
- Reading menus, including comprehension of basic measurements and equivalents
- Able to multi-task and work efficiently, effectively, accurately and quickly to maintain stock of menu items within assigned area
- Treating all coworkers with respect
Essential Job Functions:
- Visually observing food and discarding food when necessary
- Informing management of any discarded food items
- Keeping assigned area clean and walk-ins, reach-ins clutter free with restaurant issued cleaning supplies
- Maintaining master knowledge of drink items and recipes to prepare drinks
- Preparing food and drinks, including making coffee, tea, specialty coffee house drinks, and preparing sandwiches and baked goods
Other Responsibilities:
- Discard, restock and maintain all food items during closing
- Transition next shift cook on current day's progress, menu items and set-ups completed
- Prepare set-ups, maintain organized walk-ins, complete cleaning/operational checklists
- Maintain attendance in accordance with the employee handbook
