Position Overview :
As a Journeyman Electrician specializing in Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS) , you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems associated with intelligent traffic technologies, including traffic signals, cameras, sensors, and communication infrastructure. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and reliable operation of advanced traffic management systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems related to Intelligent Traffic Systems (ITS), including traffic signal systems, variable message signs, and other ITS infrastructure.
- Work with fiber optic cables, controllers, sensors, and communication networks to ensure proper operation of intelligent traffic management systems.
- Conduct system diagnostics and provide maintenance to ensure optimal performance of ITS equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure project specifications are met.
- Perform work in compliance with NEC (National Electrical Code) and local safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, including maintenance logs and service reports.
- Provide guidance and training to junior electricians and technicians.
