JOB SUMMARY:
This position is responsible for designing custom products such as service bodies, flatbeds, pickup packs, utility decks, and more. The ideal candidate will either have a Mechanical Engineering or related degree, or 3 years’ experience in a related field using SolidWorks or a similar CAD program.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage design and development of a variety of product lines.
- Coordinate effective product release and update processes.
- Facilitate and contribute to the development of project plans and designs.
- Provide project schedules and resource requirements.
- Develop product specifications for new products.
- Review, evaluate, and implement engineering changes and specification requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
- 3 years of experience with SolidWorks.
- Experience managing product development from conception to production.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite of applications.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to work in a collaborative team setting.
PREFERED EXPERIENCE:
- Familiar with SolidWorks Sheet Metal program
- Familiar with sheet metal forming processes
- Familiar with Lean Manufacturing principles
