Highway Specialties is an established and growing Northwest leader in traffic control safety equipment sales and rentals. As the Sign Production Manager, you will oversee the sign shop production process for your location.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Manages all sign production activities and operations by planning a production schedule and keeping in communication with other departments around production expectations.
- Uses applicable territory sign standards and regulations and best practices to design sign proofs for distribution.
- Provides options for or advises Customer Service and/or customers of design suggestions or changes per applicable sign standards and regulations.
- Prints, lays out, and manufactures signs for customers.
- Repairs, re-sheets, re-legends signs per customer specifications.
- Manages adequate stock levels of supplies, purchases and receives products.
- Evaluates shop equipment regularly for safety concerns, repair, or replacement.
- Coordinates maintenance and repair of equipment as necessary.
- Maintains clean and organized shop, will call area, supplies, and tool inventory.
- Supports team by performing tasks related to organization and strong communication.
- Provides quick action on time-sensitive issues.
- Serves customers by providing product and service information, taking orders, and answering questions.
- Enter quotes, sales, and rental orders, verify product pricing, processes change orders as needed.
- Resolves product or service problems by clarifying the customer’s complaint, determining the cause of the problem, explaining the best solution to solve the problem, expediting correction or adjustment, and following up to ensure resolution.
- Provides quick action and follow-up on time-sensitive issues.
- Maintains customer records by keeping current information.
- Garners trusting customer relationships.
- Gains product knowledge and learns industry terms.
- Other Relevant Tasks and Obligations
- Manages inventory counts.
- Trains new sign employees.
- Determines best practices for production.
- Performs basic maintenance and repairs of printing supplies, technology, and tools.
- Fully understands the basic operations of all equipment that Highway Specialties rents and or sells.
- Assists customers picking up orders and returning products.
- Maintains customer relationships.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Exhibits polite, professional, and timely communication via phone, email, and mail.
- Supports team by performing tasks related to organization and strong communication.
- Carries out administrative duties such as filing, typing, copying, binding, scanning, etc.
- Credentials and Qualifications
- Industry-related experience
- Knowledge of manufacturing production and processes
- Acute, thorough attention to detail
- Ability to use, repair, and maintain machines and tools
- Must be 21 years or older
- Must be able to list 75 pounds
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Have reliable transportation to and from work
