Summary
Mission Technologies, a division of HII is seeking a Contractor Operations and Maintenance Support (COMS) Manager to support Air National Guard (ANG) F-16 Mission Tactics Trainer (MTT) simulators in Tucson, AZ. The individual's primary responsibility will be to supervise the site leads who are responsible for maintaining F-16 MTT simulators, devices that simulate F-16 flight operations, communications systems, subsystems, and electronic signals for communication networks, data links, digital radio, battle management, and command and control systems such as wide/local area networks, point-to-point systems, secure systems, signal coding and modulation schema, digital and wireless radio/communications technology, and network compliance. The COMS Manager's role is instrumental in preparing reports and will be responsible for updating and tracking the configuration status of the training devices.

What you will do
- Supervise a distributed team of COMS Technicians, coordinating tasks, schedules and reporting.
- Ensure F-16 MTT simulators are operational and provide students with an appropriate training environment.
- Assist COMS technicians to diagnose & resolve problems associated with the initialization or operation during each training event.
- Applies advanced knowledge and experience to solve unusually complex or system problems.
- Close coordination on a very regular basis with Depot/Logistics Manager.
- Interprets mechanical, electrical, and electronic schematics and drawings and makes simplified versions.
- Provides networking and information systems support on training devices and networks.
- Ensures strict compliance with health, safety, security, and local base procedures, demonstrating our commitment to your well-being and security.
- Other duties as assigned.
What you must have
- 9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
- Current CompTIA Security certification.
- Prior experience on the F-16 Aircrew or Maintenance Training System.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as schematics, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Must have excellent technical writing skills and command of the English language
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe products.
