Summary
This position will be a part of the Commander, Naval Air Forces - EQOL (Enhanced Quality of Life). The selected candidate will be preparing databases for the assessments, documenting equipment discrepancies using Access database and preparing export files. Maintains databases for all East coast carriers, supporting the production team with APL and parts information; reporting repair part cost data; opening and closing jobs. This position will require local travel between Fleet Support Group facilities and Norfolk Naval base up to 25% of the time, averaging 10-14 days. This position is located in Virginia Beach, VA.
- Working hours are 0630-1430.
What You Will Do
- Provides support to the logistics function preparing logistics documentation to establish the range and depth of spares, tools, test equipment and related manuals to be deployed and stocked.
- Prepare databases for the assessments, documenting equipment discrepancies using Access database and preparing export files.
- Maintains databases for all East coast carriers, supporting the production team with APL and parts information.
- Report repair part cost data; open and close jobs.
- Modifies maintenance records such as repair standards for more complex equipment or components.
What You Must Have
High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.
Must have working knowledge of military supply systems.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Must have a current, active DoD confidential security clearance or higher.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a (CAC) Common Access Card and Norfolk Naval Shipyard badge.
Preferred: Bonus Points For
Experience in Navy logistics with R-Supply database, OMMS-NG, FEDLOG, ONE-TOUCH and WEBFLIS knowledge highly desired.
Experience in Hull Mechanical & Electrical areas onboard marine vessels preferred.
Configuration Data Managers Database - Open Architecture (CDMD-OA) experience is a plus.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to work in a shipboard environment. Must be able to lift, carry, transport heavy equipment and climb ladders.
