Job Description
Position Summary / Responsibilities :
Research, develop, and design electrical solutions for system integration of components, systems and equipment onboard US Navy Ships.
Advanced Knowledge of electrical or combat / C4I shipboard systems onboard US Navy Ships or general knowledge of several diverse disciplines.
- Perform cognizant engineering liaison with other engineering disciplines and lead shipcheck and drawing development efforts.
- Ability to independently coordinate drawing development efforts with Design, Engineering, and QA teams, resolving issues and answering questions as required.
- Ability to work with waterfront personal and government technical POCs on resolving issues that arise during installations.
- Identify, develop and coordinate drawing changes.
- Review Government Furnished Information and coordinate with Engineering / Design team to validate technical information and insure proper design is accomplished.
- Participate in Shipchecks as lead engineer to insure all issues are identified and resolved.
- Act as an advisor / mentor to others
5 years of experience with Bachelor of Science Degree in engineering; 3 years of relevant professional experience with a Master's Degree; 0 years of relevant professional experience with a PhD.
