Job Description
HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Command Operations Center (COC) Lead Analyst, to come join our team supporting missions at AFCENT HQ at Shaw AFB, Sumter, SC. This role offers an exciting opportunity to provide expert consulting and advisory services for the Command Operations Center, ensuring seamless 24/7 operations in the Area of Responsibility. The position involves direct interactions with senior leadership, operational oversight, and strategic recommendations to improve processes and systems. Ideal candidates bring experience in high-level command staff environments, proficiency in mission-critical tools, and a Top Secret/SCI clearance to thrive in this dynamic setting.
Essential Job Responsibilities
- Provide advice to the Chief of Staff, or designated Officer in Charge concerning guidance on the direction and management of the Command Operations Center with full 24/7 coverage to the Operations Center.
- Consolidate and provide input into operational briefings or briefing books to Commander, and senior leadership; Inform senior staff from either briefings or briefing binders of ongoing theater operations or issues.
- Respond to the Chief of Staff, or his designated Officer in Charge when immediate information is requested concerning operations in the AOR.
- Provide advice in direct interactions with senior leadership in directorates; make recommendations for improvements to processes, systems changes, or technology upgrades in the COC.
- Maintain continuous watch over command operations, analyze activities and events and provide advice to the Officer in Charge.
- Provide advice in direct interactions with directorates and personnel pertaining to situational events and developments.
- Assist with the management of the METL, DRRS, the Automated Message Handling System, and TMT
- Assist with the management of the knowledge environment, information exchange, and collaborative situation (e.g., share point websites, file management system) such that historical and current operational files and related media are tracked, stored, and maintained. Maintain oversight on information flow requirements to include mission, operations, and commander’s intent.
- Serve as Crisis Action Team coordinating element and assist the RFI Manager in support of the staff.
- Track status of RFIs and short Notice taskers on behalf of the Chief of Staff
Minimum Qualifications
2 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 0 years experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 6 years relevant experience.
- Minimum of one years’ experience in the use of Microsoft Office applications/e‐mail systems or the equivalent.
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a NAF or component command staff or higher level or other service equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in any subject or a minimum of five years’ experience on a NAF or component command staff or higher level or other service equivalent.
- Top Secret/SCI clearance.
