The Role
Manages a segment of a program or a function. Responsible for the direct supervision/management of the staff. Responsible for providing objective-oriented direction to subordinates utilizing mgmt guidelines & general policies. Program Manager responsibilities include: planning and program performance addressing cost, schedule, technical performance, and quality of a work package, subsystem, or related group of work packages on a large system development-type contract or full responsibility for all aspects of program performance on a large delivery order or mid-size technical services-type contract
Must Have
Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of shipyard professional experience; OR Master's Degree and 4 years of shipyard professional experience is required. A combination of education and experience may be used in lieu of degree.

Nice to Have
- Experience acting as a team lead developing solutions to a variety of complex trends in performance and manning.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Shipyard Financial system and Program Engineering.
- The candidate will be required to interact with SDMs, Customers and Engineering Management on significant matters often requiring coordination within the organization.
- Ideal candidate must have good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to develop and deliver presentations and reports as requested
- Preferred experience and knowledge of the LHA contract.
- Extensive experience interfacing with the Ingalls LHA Program Office, and Navy PMS-377 personell
