In this role, you will operate a forklift to move and organize materials in the warehouse, perform incoming part inspections to ensure quality, and assist with general upkeep tasks. You will play a vital part in maintaining safety, accuracy, and efficiency in our warehouse and shipping areas.
Key Responsibilities
- Forklift Operation: Safely operate a forklift to load, unload, and move inventory within the warehouse.
- Warehouse Organization: Organize stock and materials, ensuring items are placed in the proper locations for easy retrieval and an orderly workspace.
- Incoming Part Quality & Inspections: Inspect incoming parts for defects or damage and verify they are in working order. Record and report any issues promptly.
- Inventory Control: Assist with counting, labeling, and verifying stock levels.
- General Upkeep: Maintain a clean and safe working environment by performing light maintenance tasks, disposing of waste materials, and following all safety procedures.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the shipping and receiving teams to ensure accurate, timely processing of orders and deliveries.
Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or manufacturing setting (forklift certification preferred or willingness to obtain one).
- Attention to Detail: Ability to spot defects and damage in incoming parts; thorough, organized approach to tasks.
- Physical Requirements: Capable of lifting up to 60 pounds, standing/walking for extended periods, and working in a fast-paced environment.
- Team Player: Excellent communication skills and a willingness to assist with a variety of tasks to support team goals.
- Safety Mindset: Familiarity with warehouse safety protocols and commitment to following them at all times.
