Responsibilities:
Forecasting & Business Planning
- Lead the development and maintenance of accurate financial forecasts for base and pipeline products, incorporating market trends, competitive intelligence, and internal inputs.
- Partner with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, supply chain, R&D, demand planning) to align forecasts with commercial strategies and operational goals.
- Own the budgeting and long-range planning processes, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market dynamics.
- Develop scenario planning models to support decision-making under varying market conditions.
- Deliver comprehensive and timely management reports, including sales performance, market share analysis, and budget adherence.
- Provide insights on variances between actual and forecasted performance, identifying key drivers and recommending corrective actions.
- Design and automate reporting tools and dashboards to improve visibility and accessibility of critical metrics for stakeholders.
- Prepare materials for executive leadership reviews, highlighting key trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Collaborate with R&D and portfolio management teams to integrate pipeline products into long-term forecasts.
- Evaluate market potential for pipeline products and develop pre-launch forecasting models.
- Support pricing strategies by analyzing market data and competitive positioning.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance forecast accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
- Train and mentor team members on forecasting methodologies, data analytics, and reporting best practices.
- Act as a subject matter expert on forecasting and reporting tools, ensuring effective utilization across the team.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in forecasting, budgeting, and reporting within the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on generic injectables preferred.
- Demonstrated expertise in using forecasting and reporting tools (e.g., SAP, BPC, Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Familiarity with market dynamics, pricing strategies, and regulatory considerations specific to injectables.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex data into actionable insights.
- Proficiency in Excel and other advanced analytics tools.
- Leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop talent.
