What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cooler Supervisor position at Hiland Dairy Foods Company?
The Cooler Supervisor shall be responsible for, but not limited to, the following :
The successful applicant will be responsible for the supervision of 15 employees. As such, (s)he will ensure the accuracy, efficiency, and cleanliness of the crew. Will be responsible for counting loads of product to verify accuracy, completing paperwork, and reporting results to upper management daily. Will ensure proper rotation of all products in the cooler.
Hours / Shift : (2nd shift) 1pm-9 : 30pm Monday-Thursday and Friday 5pm-5am
Primary duties :
- Direct supervisory personnel in assigned areas and development of staff.
- Evaluate and propose improvements in production costing and quality.
- Enforce GMP’s and SOPs for all cooler positions.
- Provide leadership and direction during all cooler inspections from both regulatory and customer mandated inspections.
- Enlist outside support to meet operational needs as necessary.
- Manage personnel issues, attendance, performance, and disciplinary actions as necessary.

Physical Requirements :
S)he will be required to sit and stand for long periods of time. Will be required to lift and move large amounts of product). Will be required to stoop, bend, and reach above the head and below the knees to file and retrieve data and product. May be required to enter the cooler, a cool and wet environment, and the freezer, a very cold environment (less than 20 degrees below zero) and crawl, twist and turn and move and carry objects as much as 40 pounds.
