What are the responsibilities and job description for the HIL - Product Puller position at Hiland Dairy Foods Company?
Responsibilities:
- Pulls Stacks of product onto trailers in the proper loading order.
- Stack-cased product as required.
- Run stack tract (computer entry for in and outfeed).
- Operate a palletizer to load product onto a pallet and shrink wrap.
- Operate a pallet jack for moving pallets of product.
- Pick products and drags them onto conveyor chains.
- Load product into trailers.
- Place units of milk on racks.
- Restock product lines.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Manufacturing experience preferred.
- Production/Warehouse experience required.
- Must be organized and detail-oriented.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to read chemical labels and follow safe handling of pro-food-grader food-grade products.
- Must be able to work weekends, varying shifts (days, evenings, nights), and overtime as needed.
- Ability to accurately record data.
- Minimum age: 18
- Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical.
Physical Demand/Working Conditions:
- Must be able to routinely lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally 75 pounds
- Ability to constantly pull up to 270 lbs. with a pull rod while walking backward.
- To walk/stand on your feet constantly during your shift.
- Maintain constant mental focus and constantly be aware of your surroundings.
- Must be able to work in both very hot (more than 100 degrees) and very cold (less than 20 degrees below zero) and in a very wet and humid environment for extended periods of time.
- Exposed to noise/vibration, and chemicals.
- Required to Stand, walk, climb, bend, twist, push and pull, bend, kneel and reach above and below the shoulder.
- Repetition-Hand/Wrist Simple Grasping, Firm grasping.
