HIL - Warehouse Worker - Plant

This role is responsible for various tasks related to the efficient and organized operation of a warehouse. This role plays a crucial part in receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping goods, ensuring accuracy, safety, and timeliness.

Responsibilities:

• Receive shipments from trucks and inspect them for damage, quantity, and accuracy.
• Label, categorize and place received items in their designated storage areas.
• Organize and rotate stock to minimize waste and ensure product freshness.
• Retrieve items for assembly checking for completeness and quality in preparations for shipments.
• Adhere to regulatory requirements, including hazardous materials handling if applicable.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and free-from-hazard warehouse for easy access to materials and products.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding inventory, orders, and completed orders.
• Maintain accurate records of received shipments, inventory counts, and completed orders.
• Generate reports and documentation as required by the organization.

Qualifications and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent (relevant certifications or education in logistics may be preferred).
• Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center is beneficial but not always required.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, etc.) may be necessary, depending on the role.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory and orders.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy items.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software (optional but beneficial).
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehousing
• Minimum age of 18
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and physical.

Physical Demand/Working Conditions:

• May be required to lift, carry, and lower items 50 pounds from a height of approximately seven feet to the ground and back continually for the duration of the shift.
• Must be able to work in both very hot (more than 100 degrees) and very cold (less than 20 degrees
• below zero) and in a very wet and humid environment for extended periods of time. Exposed to noise/vibration, and chemicals.
• Required to Stand, walk, climb, bend, twist, push and pull, and reach above and below the shoulder.
• Repetition-Hand/Wrist Simple Grasping, Firm grasping.
