What are the responsibilities and job description for the HIL - Inventory Clerk/Admin Assistant position at Hiland Dairy Foods?
The Inventory Clerk will be responsible for counting produced and purchased inventory on a daily basis, work with the Purchasing Manager on product received, entering all counts into the order system, Monthly reporting and printing inventory on a daily basis. This job requires attention to detail, he or she must be able to recognize inconsistencies, and check his or her own work identifying any anomalies and must be able to communicate with the proper personnel to resolve them. The successful applicant must work well with others, have a pleasant disposition, and present themselves professionally at all times. Must be able to work 2nd and 3rd shift hours. Weekends are a requirement.
The successful applicant must:
- Possess basic math and reading skills
- Be proficient with and enjoy detail work
- Possess computer data entry skills
- Be a self-starter and able to work without direct supervision
- Communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Be able to present themselves professionally at all times
He or she will be required to climb, crawl, and walk in an upright as well as a bent position to count product. He or she will also be required to work outside in whatever the conditions are from time to time.

- Previous experience in an inventory and/or shipping and receiving position
