Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Material Handler to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently managing the movement of materials within our warehouse, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and safely. This role requires a strong understanding of materials handling processes and the ability to operate various equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Work in cooperation with Manufacturing Supervisor to ensure proper materials at proper work stations. Assist in mold changes as instructed, assist in shipping/receiving, load/unload trucks as needed.
Essential Functions
Primary
Communicate effectivity with the oncoming and off going shifts. Briefly review their 1st two hours of activities.
Review the production schedule activities for your shift/day.
Meet with your shift Supervisor, Technician, and Die Setter to discuss the plan in executing the schedule during your shift and preparing for the next shift
Confirm all dryers all on (If needed) and material is being dried at the proper temps and time to support the schedule mold changes during your shift.
Check each machine to confirm hoppers are full of material and material is available to complete the production run.
Check each work station to confirm each work cell has the proper packaging and enough to support production requirements.
Remove finish goods as needed to keep the work cell organized and safe.
Prior proper planning for each Die Change. Reduce unplanned down time.
Make sure machines are completely cleaned and free of all plastic resin, purges, and old parts (Runners, Spurs, Scrap).
Remove and store all unused materials and packaging in its proper location.
Support cycle counts when needed
In this position your breaks will stagger. Depends on activity load
Safety is number 1 priority always make sure the Hilo is operating properly and you are driving properly
Maintain operation of loading equipment
Ensure material level in hoppers.
Empty grinders as needed.
Ensure that material is properly identified and stored in closed containers.
Responsible for assisting in equipment operation.
Seek authorization to grind defective parts, re-grind to be completed during the shift produced
All grinders must be empty at shift end.
Maintain cleanliness of production and warehouse areas.

EDUCATION
High School diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE
Previous experience as machine operator
