Hilco Vision is currently searching for a Production & Warehouse Associate to join the team! The Production & Warehouse Associate will be cross trained amongst three departments: bottling, towelettes, and distribution.
This role is on first shift; 3pm-11:30pm, we pay weekly.
This role requires the ability to lift 40lbs, stand for long periods of time, and complete repetitive motions.
A little bit about you:
- Carefully adhere to all organizational safety practices including following appropriate procedures, as well as the proper wearing of required PPE in designated areas.
- Able to work independently and within a team environment; understanding that the customers’ needs are of the utmost importance.
- Able to learn new processes and procedures.
- Attention to detail.
- Capable of lifting boxes that weigh up to 40lbs.
- Read, write, speak and understand English, as well as understand basic math.
- 1 – 3 years of related production and/or warehouse experience
What you’ll do and how you’ll make an impact:
- Distribution:
- Use scanners to read bar codes on products.
- Some activities may require standing in one place for long periods, walking around, or climbing stairs.
- Adhere to strict safety, quality, and fulfillment production standards.
- Comfortable with using a ladder, comfortable with heights of 10’.
- Bottling:
- Load empty bottles into bottle loader and check the line as you go to ensure bottles are feeding appropriately to be filled.
- Measure torque for each bottle and record readings for each order run; torque measurements will vary depending on the size of the bottle.
- Inspect the product as it runs through the line from beginning to end; from where labels are put on bottles to just before the product is brought to shipping.
- Pack each order into order-specific boxes to prepare for shipment.
- Towelettes:
- Monitor machine production for pre-moistened towelette wipes, folding boxes for each job
- Visually inspect the quality of product for leaks, correct alignment, artwork, and all other defects.
- Verify the weight of the finished product using the scales provided to ensure accurate volume of liquid is being applied to the wipe and the correct number of wipes are packed in the box.
- Refer to order specification sheets to ensure product is properly packed, all labeling is properly applied, and all labels contain accurate information.
