Description of the Role: The General Service Technician at Hiley Hyundai Mazda of Burleson is responsible for performing general maintenance and repairs on vehicles. This position plays a crucial role in maintaining the overall functionality and safety of our customers' vehicles.
Responsibilities: - Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and filter replacements - Conduct inspections and diagnostic tests to identify vehicle issues - Repair or replace damaged components, such as belts, hoses, or brake pads - Maintain accurate records of services provided and parts used - Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment
Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent - Previous experience as a General Service Technician or similar role preferred - Strong knowledge of automotive systems and repairs - Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills - Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment - Good communication and customer service skills

Responsibilities
- Document and perform work as outlined on repair order following all dealership and factory standards.
- Drain oil from crankcase and refill with required amount of oil; replace oil and air filters.
- Inspect vehicle fluid levels and replace or replenish as necessary.
- Check tire pressure and add air if needed.
- Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
- Keep shop area neat and clean.
- Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
- Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.
- Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment.
- Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are well-informed of any additional services needed.
- Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs.
- Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications.

- Entry-level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair preferred
