Medical Assistant plus Mohs histotech

Hill Center for Dermatology is busy! We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be friendly, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing responsibilities. The hours for this position are 7:45am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. No nights or weekends! This is a full time position with benefits eligibility after 60 days of employment.

This position also offers the opportunity to work in the Mohs lab as a histotech two days a week for interested MA’s with histotech experience. If this is something you have experience in, please indicate that when applying.

Responsibilities:

· Rooming patients and taking a concise HPI

· Creating the visit note within our EHR (EMA)

· Assisting with procedures and surgeries

· Calling patients with pathology and lab results

· Sterilizing instruments

· Cleaning and stocking rooms

Requirements:

· MA experience preferred, but not required. College courses in preparation for an advanced medical degree may be substituted for experience. Dermatology experience is a definite plus!

· Ability to enter office visit documentation into the EMR during the patient’s visit

· Working knowledge of dermatologic surgery and sterile technique is helpful

· Knowledge of medical terminology

· Must have good oral and written communication skills, good computer skills, be flexible and dependable, and be able to multitask in a fast paced medical office environment

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 – 40 per week
