QUALIFICATIONS:
Instructor must be at least 18 years of age, pass a background check, and love working with elementary/middle school students Strong verbal and written communication skills. Candidates should have the knowledge base on how to teach via new instructional formats (internet, 2-way radio, etc.) or be willing to receive training on new format.
RESPONSIBILITY: The Kids College instructor is a temporary part-time position for our summer Kids College program. Instructors will assist with planning course materials, preparation of instruction, and teaching all the scheduled classes for the established number of hours. Candidates must possess the ability to manage and teach school-age children (1st through 8th grade). Instructors will teach the assigned course material within the allotted timeframe and in a manner that promotes learning and understanding. Prior teaching experience is not required; however, candidates must be willing to follow proper teaching strategies and protocols. Kids College offerings include (but are not limited to) the following: art, reading enrichment, creative writing, music, life science, fire science, computer science, physics, cosmetology, automotive, nursing, criminal justice, nursing, welding and career exploration.
SALARY: $25 per contact lecture hour

HILL COLLEGE: Hill College is a comprehensive, two-year community college with campuses in Hillsboro and Cleburne. We also have an off-campus education center located in Burleson.
