Duties
- Analyze project plans and specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates for materials, labor, and equipment.
- Collaborate with project management teams to develop comprehensive project budgets.
- Conduct site visits to assess construction site conditions and gather necessary data for estimates.
- Utilize construction software such as BuilderTrend and QuickBooks to streamline the estimation process.
- Negotiate pricing with suppliers and subcontractors to secure the best possible rates.
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction process to ensure adherence to budgetary constraints.
- Prepare detailed reports outlining estimated costs, including breakdowns of labor, materials, and overhead.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors to facilitate future negotiations and contracts.
- Stay updated on industry trends, pricing changes, and new materials or methods that may affect estimating.
Requirements
