Job description
Skills and qualifications:
· High school diploma or GED
· Valid US Driver's license
· Minimum 1 years’ experience in the following:
Installing CAT 5/6/7 cabling (pulling & terminating)
Installing cabling infrastructure (Conduit, punch down panels, keystone jacks, j hooks, ladder racks, cable raceways, etc.)
Installing access control systems
Installing security cameras
Installing fiber optic cabling
· Proficient with basic tools, such as hole saws, punch tools, cable snips, crimp tools, and drywall saws
Job description:
Hill Country Tech Guys is looking for a low voltage infrastructure cabling technician to support our IT client’s infrastructure technology needs. This position will be responsible for installing/running network cabling, buildouts of IDF/MDF and server closets, and installation of access control and security camera systems. This position requires out-of-town travel, with some overnight stays required. Transportation, food, and lodging are provided.
Requirements:
· Hill Country Tech Guys is licensed with the Texas State Private Security Board, and all employees must consent to a 10-year State of Texas background check.
· Ability to:
Commute to, or relocate to the San Marcos area
Lift and carry up to 50lbs
Stoop, crouch, crawl, and kneel
Work on ladders, and work in elevated/high spaces
Sit or stand for long periods
Work in confined spaces
· Willingness to travel to job sites with occasional overnight stays (transportation, food, and lodging are provided)
· Willingness to work occasional overtime when required (overtime pay is provided)
Job Type: Full-time Monday-Friday with occasional overtime as required
