Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Scheduling Coordinator to join our team who LOVES TO SMILE =) The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing appointment schedules, ensuring efficient patient flow, and providing exceptional customer service. This role requires proficiency in various scheduling systems and a solid understanding of medical terminology, particularly in the dental field. The Scheduling Coordinator will play a crucial role in enhancing the patient experience by facilitating seamless communication between patients and healthcare providers.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate appointment schedules for patients using Patterson Eaglesoft
- Provide outstanding customer service by addressing patient inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Verify insurance information and assist patients with understanding their coverage.
- Utilize knowledge of CDT coding to accurately document patient information.
- Maintain organized front desk operations, ensuring all necessary paperwork is completed efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare providers to optimize scheduling and minimize wait times.
- Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including filing and record keeping.
- Stay updated on dental terminology to effectively communicate with patients and staff.
Experience
- Previous experience in a scheduling or administrative role within a healthcare setting is preferred.
- Proficiency in Eaglesoft or similar scheduling systems is highly desirable.
- Strong customer service skills with a proven ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Familiarity with insurance verification processes and dental terminology is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for success in this role.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.50 - $18.50 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 42 per week
