Hill is seeking a Project Engineer for a groundbreaking project in Washington DC to serve as an owner’s representative on the modernization of an unoccupied, historical federal building complex with an expected construction cost of $2 billion. The project is underway and is expected to take at least another 2 years to complete.

Hill is seeking a Project Engineer for a groundbreaking project in Washington DC to serve as an owner’s representative on the modernization of an unoccupied, historical federal building complex with an expected construction cost of $2 billion. The project is underway and is expected to take at least another 2 years to complete.
Responsibilities
- Inspect quality of new construction on a daily basis to verify compliance with construction documents
- Manage outstanding QA observations and deficiencies. Create and review QA reports
- Attend and coordinate with GC to schedule pre-construction and pre-installation meetings
- Inspect and sign off on completed items/checklists, close-in inspections, reconcile disputed items
- Assist with change order management, issue resolution, project controls, and reporting. Coordinate with on-site Project Managers and Project Directors to ensure client needs are being met
- Provide real-time feedback on construction progress vs projected schedules
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management
- 3-5 years of experience on large-scale construction projects
- General Contractor experience is a plus
- Must be available to work full time onsite in Washington, DC
