Job Description: As a Powder Coating Technician, you will be responsible for preparing and applying powder coatings to our medical table components, ensuring durability, aesthetics, and compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation: Clean and prepare surfaces for coating using various techniques, including lasers and sanding.
- Application: Operate powder coating equipment to apply coatings evenly and efficiently, ensuring coverage and quality.
- Curing: Manage the curing process, monitoring oven temperatures and times to achieve optimal coating adhesion and durability.
- Quality Control: Inspect finished products for defects, thickness, and adherence to quality standards.
- Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on equipment and keep the work area organized and clean.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, including assembly and quality control, to ensure seamless production flow.
- Communication: Keep supervisors and team members informed about project statuses, material needs, or any issues that arise.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in powder coating or a similar role within manufacturing.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in metal body work repair.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in the use of powder coating systems, understanding of different powder types, and familiarity with curing processes.
- Attention to Detail: Must have excellent attention to detail to ensure high-quality finishes.
- Physical Ability: Capable of standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in a manufacturing environment which can include exposure to noise, dust, and chemicals.
- Organizational Skills: Ability to manage workflow, prioritize tasks, and maintain a clean, organized workspace.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with team members and management.
- Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, contributing to a positive and productive work culture.
