Instructional Assistant, Begin in 2025

Hill Learning Center, grades 1-12 independent school located in Durham, North Carolina, is seeking an Instructional Assistant to begin in 2025. Instructional assistant (IA) will gain deeper knowledge through professional development and hands-on experience and further explore the field of education of students with learning differences. IA will work alongside experienced educators and participate in the delivery of research-based methodology in reading, written language, and math. The position is responsible for supporting teachers and the overall programming for students. Roles include: Substitute in classrooms to teach groups of not more than four students following the individual objectives, methods, and techniques designated by Hill Learning Center's staff and/or procedures manual; Provide one-on-one or small group academic support to students; Maintain coverage/class support calendar; Participate in professional training programs; Assist with programmatic curricular activities; Attend faculty meetings as scheduled; Supervise students outside of class as scheduled; and general academic support.

Ideal candidates possess a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education or a related field and experience working with diverse learners.
