POSITION SUMMARY
The Hill’s Kitchen Café Manager will oversee all aspects of the operation including but not limited to, catering, grab and go, bakery, coffee and retail. This position will be responsible for overseeing a full service coffee shop, bakery and café. Work closely with the General Manager, Sales Manager, Coffee/Grab and Go Supervisor, Culinary Chef and Pastry Chef to maintain a positive work environment, which provides fast, efficient and friendly service.
This is a salary position, where hard-work and a goal-minded individual will succeed.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in hiring and training a team to open a full service Café operation, Bakery and Coffee Shop.
- Develop, implement and train on all standard operating procedures for the café, bakery and coffee shop
- Oversee the financial success of all aspects of Hill’s Kitchen including, budgeting, P&L’s, labor and costs.
- Oversee the scheduling of all front of house associates to ensure staffing levels are appropriate for daily operations and all events.
- Assist in leading team meetings and discussions.
- Effective, prompt and detailed communication with all team members, guests and clients.
- Communicate clearly and timely with the culinary team, to assist in the production.
- Communicate clearly and timely with the front of house team, to assist in the production.
- Be present during on-site and off-site events to ensure a successful event.
- Connect with the local community. Consistent outreach to the community to build the client base. To include, site visits, cold calls, networking events, and more.
- To be respectful of all guests, associates and vendors that you work with.
- Develop relationships with the local vendors that we may use in both Grab and Go and Catering operations.

CREDENTIAL AND EXPERIENCE
- Possess a High School Diploma
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have extensive knowledge Restaurant Operations and Coffee/ Grab and Go
- Proficient with P&L statements and Budgets
- Possess basic math skills and have the ability to handle money and operate a point-of-sale system
- Knowledge of relevant health & safety regulations & procedures
- 2 years of a Senior Management level position in Hospitality or Restaurants
- 5 years of experience working in hotels or restaurants specializing in catering, coffee and grab and go
- Competency in excel, word, powerpoint, and other event programs
- Food Handlers and Alcohol training certificates to be compliant with the state of Utah
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend, lift, push & carry heavy objects
- Ability to carry 50 pounds
