What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lifeguard and Water Safety Instructor position at Hillcrest Academy?
Hillcrest Academy in Bayville, NJ is looking for friendly, energetic, hard-working child care assistants to join our team. Hillcrest is a licensed childcare center, preschool and summer camp caring for and teaching infants through Pre-K, with an aftercare program for children up to 13 years olds. Our Summer Camp program runs from June through August and boast 3 acres of land, including an outdoor pool.
We have part-time and full-time positions available! Paid training!
Water Safety Instructor (WSI) - Swim Instructor Job Description:
- Teach Hillcrest Academy Swim Curriculum to kids of all ages and abilities starting at 6 months old.
- Be able to provide instructive feedback to parents, children, and peers
- Recognize and understand progression and level of swimming ability
- Complete student skill assessments and distribute certificates upon completion.
- Clean and maintain pool areas before and after each shift
- Attend staff meetings and regular in-service training
- Schedule student lessons and make-up lessons.
The pool is open from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. Full time shift would likely be 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Seasonal
Pay: $16.50 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
