Position Summary
The School-Based Clinical Supervisor is responsible for the coordination of service delivery to clients with mental health concerns and in providing the following core services primarily (but not limited to) the school setting: diagnostic and assessment, counseling and psychotherapy, community support, mental health prevention, awareness, and intervention. This may include providing support and training to teachers, administrators, and parents; raising awareness of mental health issues on a broader level to de-stigmatize mental health issues, provide support for student Individualized Education Programs (IEP) and Behavioral Intervention Plan’s (BIP). Reportability: The School Based Supervisor will report directly to the SB Program Manager. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Complete a diagnostic and assessment on all clients referred (including DSM diagnosis) gathering information
    from a referral source, client chart and other pertinent sources, including family members and past providers
    of care.
  • Supervise clinicians providing individual, group, and family therapy to assist clients in their insight
    development and individual service system plan goals achievement.
  • Maintain focus on the achievement of key program outcomes including goals for student performance,
    retention, and satisfaction.
  • Administer the program by assessing needs, and managing programs at multiple sites where the program
    operates, including coordination of data collection.
  • Oversee coordination, implementation and evaluation of all program activities and the desired outcomes, in
    collaboration with Replication Specialist.
  • Primary lead for ongoing communication with school personnel, social service agencies, community groups
    and public officials regarding program goals and objectives. Assures that all program documentation, records,
    and required reports for program stakeholders are prepared in a timely fashion.
  • Support, build, and share best practices in social/emotional interventions and systemic leadership for positive
    student outcomes.
  • Conduct workshops and presentations for teachers and parents of early warning signs of mental health
    disorder.
  • Implement curriculums for students on stress management, suicide prevention, substance abuse or other
    concerns deemed pertinent to the need of assigned school site.
  • Complete Individual Recovery Plan (IRP) and Crisis Plans, when necessary, with client and relevant service
  • Complete Child and Adolescent Functional Assessment Scale (CAFAS) every three months, as well as other pertinent screening tools and assessments, deemed important for diagnosis and treatment.
  • Complete billing and documentation requirements on a timely basis, preferably within 48 hours
  • Meet billing expectations that are determined on a yearly basis.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling, education, or other relevant Human Health Services field.
  • Must be a licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Professional Counselor, or Licensed Psychologist
  • Proficient communication in English required; Spanish or another language preferred, but not required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
  • Compliance with HIPAA regulations and a strong understanding of patient confidentiality issues and HIPAA compliance/regulation.
