Essential Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all Hillcrest personnel policies and ethical guidelines.
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and obtain necessary authorizations from insurance payers.
- Provide individual, group, and family therapy in various settings (e.g., office, community).
- Maintain consistent communication with clients and relevant collaterals to provide updates on progress.
- Determine DSM-5 diagnoses and utilize evidence-based treatment methods appropriate for diverse client populations.
- Meet weekly billing and documentation expectations accurately and timely.
- Conduct psychoeducational workshops and presentations for community members, families, and other stakeholders on mental health topics.
- Implement evidence-based curriculums or interventions focused on areas such as stress management, coping skills, and emotional regulation.
- Conduct screenings for early identification of mental health concerns and participate in collaborative care teams as needed.
- Administer relevant clinical assessments (e.g., CAFAS, standardized questionnaires).
- Document and maintain accurate client contacts, referrals, and all necessary information in compliance with regulations.
- Demonstrate respect for cultural diversity and integrate clients' values into the treatment process.
- Develop and review treatment and crisis plan regularly, applying crisis management skills when necessary.
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive client records in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
- Comply with all state and federal confidentiality regulations (e.g., HIPAA).
- Maintain monthly statistics and complete required reporting.
- Participate in case reviews, treatment team meetings, and organizational meetings.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
- MUST have an active License in the District of Columbia (LGSW, LISW, LPC, LCSW, or LGPC).
- Proficient communication in English required; Spanish or another language preferred, but not required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required.
- Compliance with HIPAA regulations and a strong understanding of patient confidentiality issues and HIPAA compliance/regulation.
