Summary:
Candidates must possess knowledge of pool safety, CPR/AED, and rescue techniques, with certification from a lifeguard course required. Responsibilities include ensuring pool safety, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with member activities. Physical fitness and ability to work in various conditions are essential.
Job Tasks/Duties:
Prepare pool for daily use by vacuuming, emptying skimmers, and skimming debris.
Supervise swimmers to ensure safety and administer minor first aid as needed.
Maintain cleanliness of changing rooms, bathrooms, and showers.
Assist in organizing swimming clinics and lessons for members.
Enforce pool conduct rules and monitor pool games.
Check and replenish first aid supplies.
Organize and monitor pool games, suggest activities.
Maintain pool equipment and records as directed.
Attend meetings and perform pre-opening duties.
Report unresolved disruptions to the pool manager.
Perform other assigned tasks by the pool manager.
Licenses and Special Requirements:
Current Red Cross Lifeguard Certificate.
American Red Cross Basic First Aid and CPR/AED certification.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Ability to bend, stretch, walk, stand, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Work in hot, humid, slippery, and wet conditions.
Able to work in a busy, noisy environment.
Tolerate exposure to chlorine and cleaning agents.

- Lifeguard: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
