About Our Team
- Hillcrest Hospital Cushing is a 99-bed community-owned facility offering 24-hour emergency services, cardiology, general surgery, orthopedics, diagnostic imaging, withdrawal stabilization, wound care, and urology.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs under the moderate supervision of nursing and medical staff.
- Observe patients' progress to prepare and disseminate reports to Registered Nurses or other medical staff.
- Record patients' vital signs and collect specimens for lab tests.
- Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
- Measure and record patients' intake and output, assist patients with range of motion, and draw blood in accordance with unit routines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Competent to perform in at least two general areas of practice, cross-trained and cross-competent to cover more than one hospital service, role, or function.
- BLS certification within 30 days of hire or transfer into position.
Preferred Requirements
- Two years' experience in acute or long-term care.
- Completion of approved CNA, PCT, or paramedic (EMT-P) certification, or currently enrolled in nursing school.
