Responsibilities
- Ensure all equipment needed for procedures is disinfected, assembled, and functioning properly
- Prepare patients for their surgery, arrange medical equipment, and assist doctors during surgical procedures
- Open supplies and instruments utilizing the aseptic technique
- Prepare the operating room for pre-assigned cases using the physician preference
- Sterilize equipment and provide surgeons instruments upon their request during surgical procedures
- Order, replenish, and take inventory of supplies and other surgical supplies as needed
- Support the Operating Room as a Surgical Technologist as necessary
- Attend and participate in all mandatory training and meetings
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED
- Possess an accredited Surgical Technologist Certification OR be willing, able, and eligible to obtain it within the first six (6) months of employment
Preferred Job Requirements:
- 1-year experience as a Surgical Technologist
