A Day in the Life of a Healthcare Support Specialist
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with nursing and medical staff to provide exceptional patient care, assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and other ADLs.
- Observe patients' progress and prepare reports for Registered Nurses or other medical staff.
- Collect and record vital signs and specimens for lab tests.
- Provide basic patient transport and housekeeping duties.
- Measure and record patients' intake and output and other measurements in accordance with unit routines.
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or GED
- Basic Life Support certification
