Hillcrest Youth Services is currently seeking a Full-Time Youth Care Worker (2nd Shift) to add to our team of professionals. This position will be responsible for the supervision of the youth in our residential program.

WHAT IS THIS POSITION RESPONSIBLE FOR?
- Supervision of residents.
- Work schedule: 3:00pm-11pm Weekend shifts are required.
- All new employees are required to complete a 2-week training program. The first week of training will be mostly completed during Monday-Friday, first shift hours 8:00a.m. - 4:00p.m.
- Ability to be a positive role model.
- Provide fair and constructive discipline to the residents.
- Maintain security and safety of facility and residents at all times.
- Maintain complete and accurate resident records.
- Ability to manage personal stress.
- Administer appropriate medication(s).
- Knowledge of policy and procedure manual.
- Transportation of residents.
- Maintain laundry and general cleaning for each unit.
- Ability to work with youth of all ages.
- Previous work with juveniles highly preferred.
- Demonstrated proficiency with interpersonal and writing skills.
- Excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills.
- Screen all admissions/referrals for appropriateness of Hillcrest's programming.
WHAT'S REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION?
- Must be 21 years old.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, or a closely related Human Services field is highly preferred.
- Must have valid driver's license and qualify for Company's vehicle liability insurance.
- Candidates must pass required background checks including county/state checks, fingerprinting, CPS check, sex offender registry check, and drug screen.
