Title of the Position: After School Care (ASC) Program Assistant
Reports to: ASC Coordinator
Hours: 4:00 pm–6:00 pm, Monday–Thursday, 2:00 pm-6:00 pm Fridays.
Scope: Part time, approximately 12 hours per week. Sept through June.
General Job Summary: Supports the After School Program by following the instructions of the ASC Coordinator and implementing the existing practices. This includes setting up and maintaining the physical classroom environment, supervising children and managing behaviors.

- Support a classroom by providing structure, organization, behavior management and community building activities.
- Maintain attendance records for all students in the ASC program.
- Communicate with faculty, staff and parents daily.
- Coordinate with after school Club Leaders.
- Coordinate outdoor activities (weather permitting).
- Assist students with homework if necessary.
- Manage the distribution of afternoon snacks.
- Efficiently manage the pickup of students with their parents.
- Maintain a clean and organized physical space.
- Lock building and set security alarm before leaving each day.
- General supervision and engagement of children.
- Other duties as assigned.

Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
Certifications: CPR/AED/ First Aid Preferred (Training will be provided)
Experience:
- 1-2 years related experience or training.
- Experience working with children and families.
