What are the responsibilities and job description for the HS English Teacher position at Hillel Yeshiva?
Teacher of English
The English and Writing Department of Hillel Yeshiva HS is currently seeking full-time new colleagues to join us for the 2024-2025 school year. English instructors teach fundamental reading comprehension skills as well as literary analysis and engagement with classic texts. Our department offers additional Writing Electives in order to further prepare students to be skillful and adept at constructing various forms and modes of writing responses. Experience teaching at the secondary classroom level and / or college-level is desired, but we are also open to working with teachers and professionals new to the field.
Requirements : English or related major; Master's Degree preferred, but not required; commitment to continuous learning; aptitude and capacity for establishing and maintaining an engaging and focused classroom environment.
