Position: Retail Sales Associate
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt and/or Temporary
Reports To: Retail Manager
Location: Louisville
Salary: $15/hr
Position Summary:
As a retail staff member our job is to celebrate and communicate the extraordinary role of Louisville Slugger in Baseball's past, present and future. The retail associate provides professional and enthusiastic service for Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory guests to ensure a world-class experience. This is done through warmly greeting all guests, providing expedient service, & promptly answering any questions about the Louisville Slugger brand and/or the city of Louisville. In addition, this role is accountable for proper cash handling, maintaining a clean and inviting store as well as stocking the store as needed.
Essential Functions:
- Promptly greet all guests and provide an inviting atmosphere for anybody walking into the building.
- Provide expedient service and move queued lines quickly but always with courteous and warm greetings.
- Assist customers with selecting personalized bats, processing orders, and operating the laser engraver as assigned or as needed.
- Complete tasks as required by the Retail Manager or Supervisors.
- Observes and fulfills stocking needs for the Store.
- Must have flexible work hours, nights, weekdays, weekends, and Holidays as needed.
- May be asked to work night events at the Museum.
- Advises customers by providing information on products.
- Assists customers in making selections by building customer confidence and offering suggestions and opinions.
- Assist with answering incoming phone calls from guests about orders and museum questions.
- Secures merchandise and company assets by implementing security systems and measures.
- Protects employees and customers by providing a safe and clean store environment.
- Maintains the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements, company policies and marketing direction.
- Team player within the retail department and companywide.

- Minimum two years related to retail experience.
- Goal-oriented and results-proven.
- Enjoy interacting with the public and company employees.
- Strong customer care skills
- Practicable application and daily use of Retail POS system and MS Office (Excel, Word, Outlook and Access).
- Merchandising and visual presentation skills
