Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced IT Accounting Specialist to join our team in Emory, Texas (with alternate location options in Midland or Abilene, Texas). The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting with a focus on IT-related financial processes. This role will be responsible for reconciling vendor invoices, invoicing customers, setting up and administering contracts, and ensuring financial accuracy in a dynamic, technology-driven environment. A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience is required, along with a proven ability to manage complex reconciliations and contract administration.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reconciliation: Accurately reconcile vendor invoices and ensure timely resolution of discrepancies in collaboration with vendors and internal teams.
- Customer Invoicing: Prepare and issue invoices to customers, ensuring compliance with contract terms and company policies.
- Contract Setup and Administration: Establish and manage vendor and customer contracts, ensuring all terms are accurately reflected in accounting systems and adhered to throughout the contract lifecycle.
- IT Accounting Support: Leverage familiarity with IT accounting practices to track and allocate costs related to technology services, software licenses, and hardware purchases.
- Financial Reporting: Maintain accurate records and assist in preparing financial reports as needed to support decision-making.
- Compliance: Ensure all accounting activities comply with company policies, GAAP standards, and applicable regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with IT, procurement, and management teams to streamline processes and resolve issues efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with a strong emphasis on reconciliation, invoicing, and contract administration.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Familiarity with IT accounting principles (e.g., software licensing, SaaS agreements, hardware costs).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, or similar) and Microsoft Excel.
- Core Skills:
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with vendors, customers, and internal teams.
- Preferred: Experience in a technology-driven business or industry is a plus.
