Description
Day-to-day responsibilities:

They are responsible for explaining technical diagnoses and needed repairs to your manager
-
The Fleet Technician is expected to continuously learn new technical information and techniques to stay updated with rapidly changing automotive technology and perform work in accordance with specifications.
Duties & Responsibilities
-
Diagnose and repair to specifications brake and hydraulic, exhaust, basic electrical, cooling system, suspension, and alignment on all fleet units.

Keep management aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur.

Enters and locates information on an iPad or computer.

Possesses fine motor skills to safely operate tools.

Climb up and down ladders to retrieve parts/supplies.

The fleet tech must professionally inspect, diagnose, and repair fleet units.

Maintain stall in an orderly and clean manner.

Documents all work performed.

Understands and follows federal, state, and local regulations such as the disposal of hazardous wastes.

Will perform any tasks assigned by the fleet manager.
Qualifications
Job requirements

Must have at least 3 years verifiable experience in auto and diesel mechanics.

Must be a team player and follow all directions given by the fleet manager and lead technician.

Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen
-
High School diploma or equivalent.

Perform preventative maintenance services on vehicles, semi trucks/trailers and heavy equipment.
-
Assist in receiving and stocking inventory.

Must have a valid driver license, a CDL is preferred but not required.

Ability to safely operate a motor vehicle.

Must have experience using an Apple iPad for documentation of fleet repairs.

Must have experience using a computer, Snap On, Aultel or other automotive tools.

Must be willing to attend training or obtain HVAC, or other certifications as needed to perform fleet repairs.

Must have experience or be willing to attend training in heavy equipment repair such as Ditch Witch, Cat or Case Backhoes, dozers ect.
