What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aircraft Parts Associate position at Hillsboro Aero Academy?
Hillsboro Aero Academy is seeking a detail-oriented Aircraft Parts Associate to join our Parts Department at the Hillsboro Airport. This on-site role is essential to ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our parts inventory system. Responsibilities to include: receiving daily shipments, monitoring and reconciling inventory, and supporting operations in Hillsboro campus with possible travel to other operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inventory cycle counts and reconcile discrepancies at both Hillsboro and Troutdale locations.
- Receive, label, and stock incoming parts shipments.
- Utilize Microsoft-based software to research part records.
- Prepare and process incoming & outgoing shipments as needed.
- Collaborate with the Director of Maintenance and Accounting team to provide timely inventory updates.
- Support other Parts Department tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Pass background check.
- Ability to read and interpret vendor labels, shipping documentation, and inventory reports in English.
- Basic math skills for accurate part counting and reconciliation.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Office Suite.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs, manage stairs and some inclement weather.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience with aircraft parts or in an aviation environment.
- Background in inventory management, shipping/receiving, or warehouse operations.
- Familiarity with Acumatica Cloud ERP or similar inventory software.
- Pass a background check.
